About Project
Wedge
Built in 2017, this floating wooden structure, which sits lightly atop a mountain meadow, blends into the sloping terrain of British Columbia with its calm, confident simplicity. The design, conceived as a wooden box floating in the landscape, frames the expansive view while conveying a deliberate sense of security, allowing the forest and light to become part of everyday life.
The result is a project characterized by restraint and craftsmanship, where wood plays the leading role visually and tactilely, and performance quietly supports the architecture in the background. The house is also Passive House certified.
